Usage Instructions

  1. The XLCS Lite version is suitable for beginners to perform one-click calculations and trial features. If more calculation conditions are needed, please use the XLCS Core Edition. Faced with the dazzling array of functions and settings in the Core Edition, many beginners may feel overwhelmed. In that case, why not try this lightweight Lite version first? It only extracts the key indicators such as land price and three-fee rates from conventional projects’ economic and technical indicator tables, and can output reports identical to the Core Edition.

  2. XLCS Lite Beginner Edition must be used together with XLCS Core Edition. When using the Beginner Edition, there’s no need to open the Core Edition file. The template automatically transfers data bidirectionally in the background through VBA code to achieve functionality.

  3. Ensure normal network connection. Download the latest package from the official website, extract it and place the Beginner Edition file in the same folder as “XLCS Full-Cost Calculation Template V7.0.xlsm” for normal use. If they are not in the same folder, you will be prompted to locate the local path of the template file.

  4. Template files with .xlsm extension are Excel files with macros enabled, so you must enable macros to fully use all functions of this calculation template. When opening the .xlsm template file, if you see the warning: “Security Risk Microsoft has blocked macros from running”, right-click the file - Properties - uncheck “Unblock” in the security options.

  5. First complete indicator entry in the “Input Sheet”, then complete calculations and result import in the “Console”. Do not change the table structure/format to avoid calculation failure. Only enter corresponding indicators in green boxes. Do not modify green box colors or add/remove green boxes!

  6. To use the file, simply enter conventional economic and technical indicators and several calculation elements in the “Input Sheet”. Then go to the “Console”, easily click a few buttons to get a complete set of real estate full-cost calculation tables. Usually you only need to import “06 Full-Cost Summary Table”.

  7. Thoughtful design: Simple “Console” interface with four steps and four buttons. After each step is completed, a pop-up window will prompt that the step is completed and indicate the next operation. The execution progress is also displayed in the status bar.

  4. Import tables to this file:
    Import tables from the template file to this file based on checked checkboxes.

Operation Principle

  1. When using XLCS Lite Beginner Edition, it must be placed in the same folder as “XLCS Core Full-Cost Calculation Template.xlsm”. If the file cannot be found in the same directory during execution, you will be prompted to set the local path of the template file.

  2. If the city you entered is not in the cloud database, the template will automatically use default “Shaoxing” to complete calculations for your reference, with a pop-up notification.
