If opening xlsm file shows: “Security Risk Microsoft has blocked macros”, right-click the file > Properties > Unblock in security options.
Macro Security: If Office has macro security enabled by default and macros are disabled, macro functions may not work properly (showing #name instead of text on homepage). Set macro security to Medium or Low (not recommended for long-term use).
Setup: Click “Tools” -> “Macros” -> “Security”, select “Medium” or “Low”.
After opening template file, EXCEL may prompt “This workbook contains links to one or more external sources that may be unsafe”. Click “Update” - the template automatically connects to cloud city database when opening. You may also save/close/reopen template to automatically select alternative cloud servers.
Or manually update: Data > Connections > Edit Links > Update Values to update city database, then Data > Connections > Refresh All to update all cloud data for normal template operation.
XLSM files are macro-enabled excel files, so you must enable macros to fully use this template. To add VBA editor in excel (File > More > Options > Customize Ribbon > Main Tabs > Developer > Add to right-side custom ribbon); To add project references: In Excel: Developer > Visual Basic > Tools > References. In WPS: Tools > VB Editor > Tools > References. After opening file selection dialog, check these items and confirm.
Normally you only need to open Table 2 Basic Indicators Input to enter key project indicators. For data unavailable during calculation, keep system defaults. Note you can only modify green-bordered input cells - other cells contain formulas with interrelationships. After entering key indicators, the template generates all static/dynamic full cost calculation reports in real-time.
If you have detailed calculation conditions, you may fine-tune all secondary indicator input tables, e.g.: Construction Agency Agreements, Local Tax Policies, Engineering Indicators, Configuration Standards etc.
